Posts for 3D panels
The notched post is a rolled steel section with the notches formed in it. The panel drops into the notches, so there is no clip and no drilling on site. It comes to embed in concrete or on a base plate.
On a base plate the post is 70 mm taller than its panel. To embed, it is longer by the part that goes into the concrete: 2.00 m for a 1.53 m panel, 2.50 m for a 2.03 m panel.
Posts for 2D panels
The 40 × 60 post is one profile in four mountings: to embed, on a base plate, on an L plate, and U-lock. It is drilled down its length every 200 mm or every 400 mm, and the panel is held by a clip and a bolt through the post, so a run can be set out before a single panel is lifted. The wall is 1.5 mm on the shorter posts and 2 mm on the taller ones.
Corners take the 60 × 60 corner post, in the same heights, hole patterns and finishes, to embed or on a base plate.
Clips, bolts, flat bar and cap
Clips hold a 2D panel to the 40 × 60 post, with one bolt per clip. How many a post takes follows its hole pattern and its height: 4 to 13 on the 200 mm pattern, 3 to 8 on the 400 mm pattern. One flat bar 40 × 4 goes with each post, drilled to the same pattern. A plastic cap ships with every post; the aluminium cap is ordered separately. The U-lock post takes the U-clamp.
Gate posts
A pedestrian gate comes as a set with its two posts. A swing gate is quoted as leaves and posts: a single gate is one leaf, a hinge post and a lock post; a double gate is two leaves and two posts. The post is 0.60 m taller than the leaf — that is the part that goes into the ground. On EIFFEL gates its section follows the leaf width: 80 × 80 mm for a 1.00 m leaf, 100 × 100 mm for a 1.25 m leaf, 120 × 120 mm for the wider ones. CORBUSIER leaves hang on 60 × 60 posts.
Barbed wire
Barbed wire is carried above the fence by an arm on the head of the post: the 45° arm leans to one side of the fence, the Y arm has arms both sides of the post. Both come galvanised or hot-dip galvanised.
