3D or 2D panel?

Choose the 2D double-wire panel where the fence has to take being leant on: it is the stiffest panel in the range. Choose the 3D panel where the run should go up with the fewest parts: it drops into the notches of its post, with no clip and nothing drilled on site.

Questions

Which is stiffer, a 3D or a 2D panel?

The 2D double-wire panel. Its horizontals are pairs of wires, one each side of the vertical, and it is the panel specified where a fence has to take being leant on. The 3D panel takes its stiffness from horizontal folds.

What do 8/6/8 and 6/5/6 mean?

The wire diameters in millimetres: two horizontal wires of 8 mm around a vertical wire of 6 mm, or two of 6 mm around one of 5 mm. In the UK the same panels are called 868 and 656 twin wire mesh.

Which panel needs fewer parts on site?

The 3D panel: it drops into the notches of the notched post, with no clip and nothing drilled. A 2D panel is fixed with clips, one bolt per clip, and a flat bar on each post.
